Accelerated Cybersecurity, BA/MS or BBA/MS

The Accelerated Master of Science in Cybersecurity emphasizes the integration of business and technology and is designed to allow students to begin and complete a master’s degree while still earning their BA or BBA within the Paul R. Carter College of Business Administration. The degree must be completed within seven calendar years from the date of enrolling in the first graduate course. Courses numbered 6000 or higher cannot be used to satisfy undergraduate requirements.

Cybersecurity Program Outcomes

The program strives to achieve the following outcomes:

  1. Apply advanced cybersecurity principles to analyze, secure, and defend enterprise networks and systems against cyber threats using industry-standard tools and frameworks
  2. Design, execute, and evaluate incident response operations, including detection, containment, eradication, and recovery, within complex organizational environments.
  3. Assess and manage cybersecurity risk through the development and evaluation of policies, governance structures, privacy controls, and compliance programs aligned with legal and regulatory requirements.
  4. Demonstrate ethical leadership by integrating professional standards, legal obligations, and Christian ethical principles into cybersecurity decision-making and organizational leadership.
  5. Conduct authorized penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to identify, exploit, and document security weaknesses while adhering to ethical and legal boundaries.
  6. Perform legally defensible digital and mobile forensic investigations, including evidence acquisition, preservation, analysis, and reporting for cyber incidents and legal proceedings.
  7. Analyze structured data and digital evidence to support cybersecurity investigations, audits, and decision-making, producing clear and defensible analytical reports.
