CY 5620 - Penetration Testing This course provides an advanced, hands-on examination of penetration testing methodologies for evaluating and strengthening the organization’s security posture. The course equips students with the technical knowledge, ethical framework, and professional discipline required to conduct authorized security assessments in enterprise environments. Students will study the full penetration testing lifecycle, including scoping and rules of engagement, reconnaissance, enumeration, vulnerability analysis, exploitation, post-exploitation techniques, and professional reporting. Emphasis is placed on structured methodologies aligned with industry standards and guidance from the EC-Council and Offensive Security, as well as best practices promoted by the SANS Institute.
