NURS 4550 - Nursing Leadership and Management Evidence-based leadership and management theories and concepts are emphasized using critical thinking skills and teaching-learning principles to provide diverse, holistic nursing care in varied healthcare settings. Students apply standards of ethical professional nursing practice, Christian values of caring, faith, and service, and servant leadership principles while collaborating with peers and the interprofessional team to ensure safe, quality patient care. Responsibility and accountability for nursing care, effective communication, resource conservation and use, and respect for cultural diversity are foundational to effective clinical judgments and patient-centered outcomes. Two lecture hours per week and 90 clinical hours. This course is eligible for honors credit.
