NURS 3550 - Pediatric Nursing

Working from a foundation that Christ calls us to support the pediatric population, evidence-based best practices are emphasized as we explore diagnoses, communication techniques, and developmental mindsets unique to children. Students will build on previous courses as we holistically consider how to manage current health needs, prevent future illnesses, and promote lifelong healthy practices. Clinical judgment, interprofessional collaboration, and advocacy will guide students as they learn to provide the highest level of care for this vulnerable population. Three lecture hours per week and 45 clinical hours. This course is eligible for honors credit.

Prerequisite(s): NURS 3210 , NURS 3450

Credit Hours: 4

Term Offered: Fall, Spring (Summer for NW AR only)
