NURS 3450 - Maternity and Women’s Health Nursing This course explores women’s health and maternity nursing, focusing on critical thinking, health promotion, and maintenance. Students will develop skills in assessing, planning, and implementing nursing interventions for women throughout the reproductive lifespan, including childbearing families. The course integrates critical thinking to address complex health scenarios, promote health strategies, and use evidence-based practices to enhance patient outcomes. Through a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical application, students will learn to deliver comprehensive, individualized care. This course is eligible for honors credit. Three lecture hours per week and 45 clinical hours.
