HNRS 2050 - The Physical World This course challenges students to select, describe, and defend a path of inquiry for complex problems with no clear solutions. Emphasizing scientific, mathematical, and evidence-based reasoning, students will engage in systematic investigation, identify and frame problems, and explore potential solutions. Students will use experiences from the natural sciences to construct reasoned arguments that address real-world uncertainties. Hours may be applied to one of the following requirements in the Liberal Arts program: BIOL 1100 , MATH 1200 , PHS 1010 , PHS 1020/1020L , PHS 1030 , PHS 1050 , or PHS 1060 .
This course may not be taken as a repeat for a completed liberal arts course or to satisfy an additional liberal arts requirement.
