CHEM 1040/1040L - College Chemistry I
Atomic and molecular structure, chemical periodicity, types of reactions, stoichiometry, thermochemistry, nuclear chemistry, gases. CHEM 1040 with a grade of C or higher is prerequisite to CHEM 1050/1050L .
Three hours lecture and three hours laboratory per week. Transfer courses with online labs are not eligible for course credit.
Prerequisite(s): Math ACT subscore of 23 or higher, 560 or higher on the Math SAT or CHEM 1010/1010L or MATH 1320 or MATH 1330 or MATH 2300 or MATH 2350 or higher
