All majors at Harding are required to complete the 47-hour Liberal Arts program. The following Liberal Arts requirements are met within the content of the major:

BIOL 3120 satisfies 3 hours of Inquiry, Investigation, and Reasoning and 3 hours of Self and Society.

Recommended:
BDOC 2030 and BHIS 3040 or BHIS 3050 will count toward the Historical and Literary Perspective and reduce the number of required Bible/electives.
Two additional Bible classes. If BDOC 2030 and BHIS 3040 or BHIS 3050 are not taken to satisfy liberal arts requirements, then additional Bible classes will be required.
Engineering majors have the following Liberal Arts substitutions: BDOC 2030 is a substitute for a World Literature course. BHIS 3040 or BHIS 3050 may be taken for 2 or 3 hours and is a substitute for a Western Civilization course. ENGR 1010 is a substitute for Art, Music, or Theatre Appreciation. ENGR 3100 is a substitute for ECON 2010 and BUS 2510.
