This program makes it possible for qualified students to complete both the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Bible and Divinity and the Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degrees in approximately six years.

Liberal Arts: 36 Hours
All majors at Harding are required to complete the 47-hour Liberal Arts program. The following Liberal Arts requirements are met within the content of the major: - 8 hours of Scripture, Truth, and Ethics are satisfied in the major.
- BMIS 3000 satisfies 3 hours of Self and Society.
Bible and Ministry Requirements: 66 Hours
Skills for Biblical Studies: 21 Hours
Ministry Skills: 16 Hours
History, Theology, Philosophy: 15 Hours
Choose one of the following History/Theology courses:
Graduate Requirement: 24 Hours
- Beginning near the completion of 90 hours, students will complete 24 hours of graduate courses at Harding School of Theology (HST) that apply to both the B.A. and M.Div. along with any remaining undergraduate courses.
- Students will be classified as undergraduate students and will be charged the undergraduate tuition rate for HST courses until they graduate with the B.A.
- BMIN 5990 must be taken in the first semester of enrollment in graduate courses.
- Students must also take at least two textual courses (with BNEW or BOLD prefix). The remaining five courses may be chosen from the M.Div. course menu.
- Students who earn an A or B grade in HEB 3000 may take a Hebrew textual course at HST without the prerequisite BOLD 5100 .
- Students who earn an A or B grade in GRK 3000-3001 may substitute a Greek textual course for the M.Div. requirement of BNEW 5320 .
Total Hours: 126
NOTE: After earning the B.A., students will complete 33 additional M.Div. hours to earn the M.Div. degree, for a total of 57 hours. Ordinarily, the M.Div. requires 75 hours but is reduced by 18 hours of advanced standing by examination, which is available to the student who follows this curriculum. |
