SPED 6210 - Characteristics of Students with Exceptionalities This course will provide a general introduction to the characteristics of K-12 exceptional learners. In addition, there will be a focus on the following: best practices; current issues in human development and special education; assistive technology; collaboration with families, other educators, related service providers, and personnel from community agencies in culturally responsive ways; and concerns facing individuals working in the field of special education.
