MENG 3400 - Fluid Mechanics An introduction that emphasizes fundamental concepts and problem-solving techniques. Areas of emphasis include fluid properties, fluid statics, fluid kinematics, control volume analysis, differential analysis, dimensional analysis, and basic internal and external flows. Other topics covered may include pipe flow, lift and drag, Navier-Stokes equations, turbo machinery, open-channel flow, compressible flow, and computational fluid dynamics.
Prerequisite(s): MATH 3350 (may be taken concurrently), MENG 2250 , PHYS 2110
