IS 5350 - Database Management Systems


This course examines the use and impact of database technologies and database design principles. Practical skills attained during this course of study include effective use of: Database concepts, Structured Query Language, the relational model and normalization, Database design, database redesign, managing databases and database processing. Finally consideration is given to no-sql database concepts.

Prerequisite(s): One of the following: IS 3000 , COMP 3010 , IS 6300 , or IS 6510
