ENG 4100 - Studies in C.S. Lewis


The goal of this course is to critique and appreciate some of the most notable works by C.S. Lewis. Widely considered one of the most influential Christian writers of the Twentieth Century, C.S. Lewis’s contributions to literature are both academic and popular, ranging from fairy tales to works of historical fiction, philosophy, science fiction, literary criticism, and poetry. Upon completion of the course, students will have a significantly deeper appreciation of these works and their historical, mythical, and philosophical contexts. The course meets the Bible enrollment requirement the semester it is taken only for English majors.
