ENG 3160 - Film Genres
An in-depth examination of film genres, either by surveying various genres or examining a particular genre (e.g. western, horror, film noir). Regardless of approach, students will learn the formal characteristics of genre, analyze the historical development of genre, and the cultural implications and response to genre. Students will screen representative clips and full-length films.
