ENG 3130-3133 - Writing Fiction

This course focuses on the writing of contemporary literary fiction, primarily through the short story format. Students will learn the techniques of literary fiction by reading and analyzing short stories by major contemporary authors and practicing fiction techniques. The majority of class time will be devoted to work-shopping student stories. Workshopped stories will be revised and submitted in a final portfolio.

Credit Hours: 3
