COMM 1960 - Introduction to Film Film is a collaborative art form. It is a unique entity that draws from the worlds of literature, drama, photography and art to define its medium. Students will learn the formal elements of mise-en-scène , cinematography, editing, and sound, as well as the aesthetic principles of form, genre, and style. This course is designed to provide students with a foundation for the future study of film from both critical and production points of view. This course is a prerequisite for all other courses in the Film Major.
