The expected Program Learning Outcomes for this major are:

    • advanced analytical thinking skills to decompose organizational problems, projects, computer code, etc., into component parts.
    • critical thinking skills to analyze and evaluate trade-offs in order make appropriate purchase/development decisions in regard to organizational information systems.
    • ethical principles to business decision when dealing with sensitive corporate data.
  • Demonstrate:
    • creativity in project management, and in the development of solutions such as web page construction.
    • critical thinking skills while presenting coherent reasons for adopting a position and debunk faulty reasoning regarding a proposal or assertion in relations to data based decisions.

    • effective verbal communication skills in presenting succinct, clear rationale for positions held in both impromptu and prepared situations.
