The expected Program Learning Outcomes for this major are:
- Apply:
- advanced analytical thinking skills to decompose organizational problems, projects, computer code, etc., into component parts.
- critical thinking skills to analyze and evaluate trade-offs in order make appropriate purchase/development decisions in regard to organizational information systems.
- ethical principles to business decision when dealing with sensitive corporate data.
- Demonstrate:
- creativity in project management, and in the development of solutions such as web page construction.
- critical thinking skills while presenting coherent reasons for adopting a position and debunk faulty reasoning regarding a proposal or assertion in relations to data based decisions.
- effective collaboration skills and use of collaborative tools.
- effective leadership skills in project teams.
- effective verbal communication skills in presenting succinct, clear rationale for positions held in both impromptu and prepared situations.
