Cybersecurity


The expected Program Learning Outcomes for this major are:

  • Evaluate the computer network and information security needs of an organization.
  • Assess risk and create cybersecurity risk management policies in order to adequately protect an organization’s critical information and assets.
  • Implement appropriate tools to prevent, detect, react, and recover from cyber-attacks.
  • Analyze and create different forms of attack
  • Demonstrate understanding of the legal and technical aspects of a cybercrime investigation and the application of computer forensic tools.
  • Integrate knowledge from other disciplines, such, criminal justice, psychology, politics and human factors, with their technical expertise to devise and communicate practical solutions to cybersecurity issues
  • Explain how ethical issues impact decision making in the cybersecurity area
  • Conduct cyber activities in an Ethical, Social, and Professional Manner
