Photography Minor

The Photography minor provides students with a hands-on foundation in photography practice while also addressing the professional and commercial realities of working in the field. Through studio- and project-based courses, students develop technical proficiency, visual literacy, and a personal creative voice across digital and applied photographic formats. The curriculum emphasizes real-world experience, including portfolio development and applied assignments that mirror professional workflows. In addition, students may select complementary business-focused coursework-such as marketing, entrepreneurship, or event managment-to gain essential skills in client relations, branding, and the economics of creative work.

This minor allows courses to be shared with a major from the same department.
