Reading Endorsement (GR)

Students who hold an educationally related master’s degree from an institution accredited by an agency nationally recognized by the US Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation and an Arkansas teaching license may add this endorsement by satisfactorily completing the 21 hours of reading courses listed below. Check with the Arkansas Department of Education for licensure requirements.

Admission requirements for this endorsement are the same as the Master of Education in Reading with Dyslexia Endorsement .

RDNG 6090 - Literacy and Diversity Credit Hours: 3
RDNG 6150 - Literacy Assessment Credit Hours: 3
RDNG 6200 - Writing: Theories and Processes Credit Hours: 3
RDNG 6300 - Literacy Strategies for Beginning/Emergent Readers Credit Hours: 3
RDNG 6330 - Literacy Assessment and Intervention Field Experience Credit Hours: 3
RDNG 6400 - Literacy Interventions Credit Hours: 3
RDNG 6500 - Interdisciplinary Literacy Strategies for Adolescent Readers Credit Hours: 3
