Liberal Arts: 38 Hours

All majors at Harding are required to complete the 47-hour Liberal Arts  program. The following Liberal Arts requirements are met within the content of the major:

• 9 hours of Inquiry, Investigation, and Reasoning are satisfied in the major. Biology and physical science must be included as part of the 25 science hours of the major.

• MATH 3730 - Linear Algebra Credit Hours: 3
• MATH 3200 - Probability Credit Hours: 3
• MATH 4730 - Abstract Algebra Credit Hours: 3
• MATH 4330 - Differential Equations Credit Hours: 3
• MATH 4401 - Math Seminar I Credit Hours: 0
• MATH 4402 - Math Seminar II Credit Hours: 0
• MATH 4403 - Math Seminar III Credit Hours: 1
• MATH 4404 - Math Seminar IV Credit Hours: 1
• 6 additional hours of mathematics, selected from the following: courses numbered MATH 3000 or above, or COMP 3280 , or COMP 3490 , or PHYS 3120 .
• 25 additional science hours, at least 6 of which must be upper level.

Remaining Bible/Electives: 21 Hours

PHS 4100  may be taken to fulfill the Bible requirement in the semester it is taken. Math leveling work, if needed, decreases electives by 5 hours. See Bible Class Enrollment policy here.
