NOTE: For this endorsement, candidates must hold an educationally-related master’s degree from an institution accredited by an agency nationally recognized by the US Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. Additional courses may be required based upon previous coursework. A personalized curriculum plan will be created by the Educational Leadership director for each candidate seeking the Principal endorsement.
Candidates who hold an Arkansas educator license with three years of licensed educator experience may add this endorsement by satisfactorily completing the 25 hours of Principal Endorsement courses listed below, orally defending a professional portfolio, and attaining a passing score on the School Leaders Licensure Assessment (SLLA) approved by the Arkansas Division of Elementary and Secondary Education.
Admission requirements for this endorsement are the same as the Master of Education in Educational Leadership (Principal) .
