PT 8312 - Clinical Education and Communication


This course includes lecture and class discussion regarding documentation practices and standards in physical therapy; professional behavior and communication in the clinical setting, including communication when dealing with the unusual or unexpected patient situations; generational and cultural differences; teaching and learning principles, including learning styles, as applied to student and patient education; and proper use of the PT MACS as an assessment tool. Activities include participation in the site-selection process for the first clinical education experience.
