RDNG 6340 - Literacy Curriculum


This course is a study of general principles and techniques of selecting and organizing literacy curriculum materials and experiences. An exploration of current brain research and practical application for classroom practice will be emphasized. Various ways of designing curriculum will be discussed. The importance of collaboration in curriculum design and assessment will be stressed and modeled. Curriculum will be presented as an active, constructive, cooperative process involving experimentation, investigation, analysis, inquiry and problem solving techniques.
