PHYS 4120 - Electromagnetic Theory


A full vector treatment of electrostatics and magnetostatics based on a rigorous development of Maxwell’s equations from experimental laws. The electromagnetic wave equation is developed from Maxwell’s equations and applied to simple systems.

Prerequisite(s): PHYS 2120 , MATH 3350 , either PHYS 3120  or MATH 4330 

Credit Hours: 3
