PHS 1070/1070L - Physical Science for Educators

An introduction to basic concepts of physics and chemistry for prospective K-8 teachers. Emphasis will be on how measurements are used to determine the relationships between variables that might be used to describe the properties, behavior, and changes that occur in matter. These relationships will then be used to develop explanatory models of chemistry and physics. Three hours lecture and three hours laboratory per week.
