EDFD 3301-3303 - Studies in Education: New York City Experience


This course allows for the study of education’s historic and contemporary roles in the formation of a shared national experience, as well as personal identity, an American middle class, and a national ethos of individualism and opportunity. Special emphasis will be given to themes of immigration, FAPE, literacy and ESL, and the evolution of public schools. A maximum of 3 hours can be earned for EDFD 3301-3303 and may be substituted for 1-3 hours of ELED 4410 MLED 4410 SPEC 4410 , SEED 4510 , or SEED 4610 .
