BENG 2800 - Introduction to Biomaterials A course focusing on natural and man-made materials used in the medical device industry. Topics covered include structural, chemical and mechanical properties of materials, engineering biomaterials, biological properties and biological response to materials. Also included are the practical aspects and industrial applications of biomaterials such as sterilization and materials for implants and medical devices.
