IS 6610 - Cybersecurity Fundamentals This course introduces students to the knowledge necessary to improve security by identifying and prioritizing potential threats and vulnerabilities of a network including raising cybersecurity awareness; halting malware, resisting modern social engineering and phishing attacks; defending against various attacks and identification and selection of appropriate security technologies and policies for a given scenario. Advanced topics of encryption selection, cyberterrorism and information warfare, and basic computer forensics are introduced. Introduces the legal aspects of policies and issues with compliance.
Prerequisite(s): IS 5300 or IS 6300
