CHEM 2610 - Research Methods in Chemistry


This course explores tools of inquiry for developing and implementing science research projects. It includes an introduction to selected chemical literature with an emphasis on methods for retrieving desired information about physical and biological properties or synthetic procedures for specific compounds as well as information on broad concepts or classes or compounds. The use of electronic information retrieval systems is emphasized. This project-based course will include the theoretical development of a research project. One lecture per week.
