UNIV 1050 - Foundations of Algebra with Lab This course is designed to provide a strong foundation in algebra. Topics include basic arithmetic, linear equations and inequalities, systems of linear equations, integer exponents, polynomial operations, linear and quadratic functions and factoring. This course does receive college credit but does not count as the Inquiry, Investigation, and Reasoning requirement in the Liberal Arts program, or toward a major or minor in mathematics.
Prerequisite(s): Math ACT score below 19 or Math SAT score below 510 or 220-236 on the ACCUPLACER Next-Generation Quantitative Reasoning, Algebra, & Statistics placement test
