Bible Learning Framework for Graduate and Professional Programs

At Harding, faculty are responsible for integrating their faith into the classroom/curriculum and to model Christian living for our students. In alignment with the charter, every graduate and professional program has Bible as part of the curriculum. The Bible provides students with valuable insights into ethical, moral, and leadership principles. The Bible is expected to be woven into every course in the curriculum. Some programs have a stand-alone Bible course as part of the curriculum. In every program, the following learning framework is addressed in the curriculum

  • Biblical Knowledge Integration and Values-Based Practices - Students will critically analyze key biblical themes and principles relevant to their professional field, integrating biblical wisdom into their decision-making processes and practices, thereby fostering a commitment to value-based practices aligned with Christian principles in their professional endeavors.
  • Ethical Decision-Making and Social Responsibility - Students will develop an ethical framework rooted in biblical principles, enabling them to make morally informed decisions in professional contexts that prioritize integrity, fairness, and social responsibility, while assessing the impact of their decisions on various stakeholders.
  • Servant Leadership - Students will gain an understanding of servant leadership principles as exemplified in biblical teachings, enabling them to lead with humility, compassion, and a focus on serving the needs of others, while also developing leadership skills grounded in these principles to lead ethically, inspire others, and promote positive change within their professional roles and organizations.
