• Students will:

  • effectively apply quantitative and qualitative research methods to test theory, evaluate public policy, and analyze political behavior.
  • produce and present an original research project in which they synthesize the findings of existing scholarship, collect and analyze quantitative date, and develop research conclusions.
  • demonstrate knowledge of the foundations, processes, institutions, and actors operating at the local, state, national, and international levels of the political system.
  • apply planning, management, communication, and organizational skills within the public policy cycle.
