Preprofessional Health Science Major

The expected Program Learning Outcomes for this major are:

• Students will:
  • create their own personal philosophy of ethics based on appropriate models.
  • describe and demonstrate the process of science, including developing questions based on current theory, proposing methods for addressing the questions, qualitatively and/or quantitatively analyzing the resulting data, and drawing appropriate conclusions.
  • use mathematics and quantitative reasoning to describe and explain occurrences in the natural world.
  • use critical thinking skills to evaluate approaches to problems and solutions.
  • apply knowledge and skills in the natural sciences to solve problems related to both molecular and macro systems.
  • communicate scientific information effectively through writing and oral presentations.
  • understand the harmony between science and Christianity.
