Physician Assistant Studies, MS


The expected Program Learning Outcomes for this degree are:

  • Application of Scientific Concepts - Apply the basic scientific concepts as applies to the pathophysiologic nature of disease.
  • Health Care Systems - Demonstrate communication and documentation of patient interactions a manner that is compliant with system and billing requirements.
  • PA Profession and Practice - Identify the role of life-long learning in PA practice and exhibit values of respect, compassion and integrity in all areas of practice and interprofessional interactions.
  • Patient centered treatment and management - Propose pharmaceutical therapeutic treatment regimen based on current guidelines.
  • Principles of Physical Examination - Demonstrate the ability to assess a patient with history and physical examination.
  • Role of Differential Diagnosis - Assimilate relevant data gathered during patient encounter to formulate a differential diagnosis.
  • Utilization of Diagnostic Studies - Integrate laboratory and diagnostic studies with history and physical examination findings in order to further define diagnosis.
