The expected Program Learning Outcomes for this major are:

• Demonstrate professionalism and capability to function effectively in their chosen work environments via their professional internship placements.
• Demonstrate foundational counseling skills and knowledge (as appropriate to setting).
• Create a comprehensive intervention plan for improving student support and success. 
• Clearly articulate the role of student affairs in students’ education including academic support, retention, academic and career advising, campus and residence life as well as spiritual development and identity formation.
• Apply CAS standards to different functional areas of student affairs.
