Students will be required to have completed a Bachelor’s degree. Students who do not have a bachelor’s degree may audit these courses but will not receive credit hours towards the certificate.
The purpose of this certificate is to provide an introduction to counseling in ministry related settings to church leaders and others within their own contexts. The goal is to offer needed training without taking ministers away from their places of work, and to provide them with the necessary skills to expand their counseling capacity within a ministerial context or determine when it is necessary to refer for professional counseling services.
