Students planning agriculture as a profession may take one year of preagriculture training at Harding. The following is a suggested program of study.

Agriculture Courses at ASU-Beebe
These courses will be completed on the Arkansas State University campus in Beebe, Arkansas. These courses do not count toward a degree in the department of Biology at Harding University. Some of the agriculture-related elective courses may not be offered in the spring semester. ANSC 2213 requires the prerequisite course ANSC 1204. Students must plan with the advisor to adjust the recommended schedule to fit in their preferred courses.
To be eligible for full federal financial aid, students must be enrolled in at least 12 hours of Harding courses. ASU-Beebe courses will not count towards the hours needed for financial aid, but they will count as hours used to determine the Bible, chapel, and housing policies.
- AGEC 1003 Introduction to Agricultural Economics
Choose two of the following agriculture-related courses:
- ANSC 1204 Introduction to Animal Science
- ANSC 2213 Feeds and feeding
- ANSC 2623 Equine Health and Management
- HORT 2204 General Horticulture
- PSSC 2803 Field Crops

Topics in Biology courses may include: Backyard Biology, Experiential Plant Science, Aquatic Biology, Ornithology, and Animal Nutrition.
BIOL 1300-1304 - Topics in Biology courses do not count toward a degree in the Department of Biology.
