Bible and Family Ministry Major (BFAM), BA

Requirements

Liberal Arts: 36 Hours

All majors at Harding are required to complete the 47-hour Liberal Arts  program. The following Liberal Arts requirements are met within the content of the major:

• 8 hours of Scripture, Truth, and Ethics are satisfied in the major.
• BMIS 3000  or BMIS 3080  satisfies 3 hours of Self and Society.

Recommended:

• MATH 1200  is recommended to satisfy 3 hours of Inquiry, Investigation, and Reasoning.

Bible and Ministry Core: 60 Hours

Degree programs in the College of Bible & Ministry  (except for Bible and Divinity, Theological Studies, and Missions as a Second Major) share a uniform core of classes that serve as foundational to all future ministry pursuits. The purpose of the core is to equip Bible majors with basic tools and knowledge for ministry. The College of Bible and Ministry core consists of:

• BFAM 3130 - Spiritual Formation Credit Hours: 2
• BMIN 4000 - Capstone in Christian Ministry Credit Hours: 3

• BMIN 4010 - Foundations of Women’s Ministries Credit Hours: 3
• BMIN 4030 - Approaches to Women’s Ministries Credit Hours: 3
• COMM 3620 - Small Group and Organizational Communication Credit Hours: 3
• COMM 3650 - Interpersonal Communication Credit Hours: 3
• FCS 2050 - Families in Global Society Credit Hours: 3
