BMIN 5883 - Managing Conflict in Ministry This course equips participants for skillful transformative leadership in times of anticipated and unanticipated conflict. This includes navigating interpersonal, group and large-scale conflicts, as well as more complex, unsolvable issues. The course examines biblical conflict ethics, peaceful congregational cultures, emotional systems, less-anxious leadership, healthy relationships, types and levels of conflict, common contributors, conflict styles, intervention (coaching, mediation, arbitration, group facilitation, consulting), and when/how to bring in outside help. Participant-based methodologies as style inventories, case studies and role play are used.
