BIOL 3670 - Biology Research Internship


A biology research internship consists of a minimum of 8 weeks of supervised field or laboratory research experience. It represents an integration of academic content into practice and promotes the development of biological research skills. It also facilitates the student’s understanding of various roles and specializations within the field and provides an opportunity for the student to assess areas of interest. Prior to course enrollment, the internship location, supervisor, and an outline of research goals and methodology must be submitted to the department chair for approval. Upon completion of the internship, the student must present the research in either written or oral format at a state or national research meeting.

Prerequisite(s): BIOL 1500L , CHEM 1050/1050L
