ENG 2700 - Introduction to Creative Writing

Introduction to Creative Writing provides an overview of the traditional creative writing genres, including fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry, and drama/screenplay. Students read and analyze contemporary and classic works in each of the genres in order to gain an understanding of theory and technique. Students will produce their own creative works and participate in writing workshops in each of the genres. At the end of the semester students will produce a portfolio of revised work representing each of the genres.
