PT 8141 - Human Pathophysiology


This course is designed to define and explore elements of pathophysiology. This will include a survey of normal human physiology at the cellular, tissue, and organ levels. Further focus will include the disease processes that alter normal organ/systems physiology, the mechanisms that are responsible for these alterations, laboratory values used to describe the pathologies, and the implications of pathological processes in the rehabilitation setting. Pathophysiological principles are addressed with focus on the coordinated functions and activities of all major body systems.
