PHIL 252 - Philosophy of Religion

A focused study of the difficult questions so often encountered in practical ministry and counseling contexts. Topics include the existence, nature, and attributes of God; the problem of evil and suffering; miracles; religious experience; religious language; religion and science; and religious diversity. A discussion of careful, reasoned inquiry and an exploration of the relationship between faith and reason will serve as the groundwork for the course and the basis for critical reflection on the theological and practical implications of the course content.
