BNEW 5235 - Acts

How, why and where did the rapid and inexorable growth of the Gospel occur in the first generations of Christianity? How did the mission and globalization of Christianity come to be? This course will begin with an examination of the spread of Judaism and pagan religions and philosophies contemporary with early generations of Christianity. The focus of the course is what the Acts of the Apostles reveals about the matrices, methods and messages of the early church's witness to the world.
