Requirements


Liberal Arts: 41 Hours


All majors at Harding are required to complete the 47-hour Liberal Arts  program. The following Liberal Arts requirements are met within the content of the major:

  • ECON 2010  and a modern foreign language satisfy 6 hours of Self and Society.

Major: 71 Hours


Foreign Language Concentration (23 hours), including:


  • 9 upper-level hours, not to include any course taken to meet a core requirement

Career Concentration (21 hours)


The career concentration hours will be designed in cooperation with the academic advisor on an individual basis to reflect the career interests of the student. Courses must be chosen to complete any remaining hours toward the graduation requirement of 42 upper-level credits.

Research Requirement (6 hours)


(These courses must be completed with a grade of C or higher to meet program requirements.)

International Experience Requirement


A Harding-supervised international experience is required for this degree. The experience must be approved by the advisor and may include any program of at least four consecutive weeks that is sponsored by HU International Programs or the Department of Foreign Language and International Studies. This experience is not for credit, but is required for graduation.
