Forensic Science Minor

A minor in forensic science helps prepare students for a broad range of careers in the forensic sciences and criminal justice system. This 18-hour minor includes courses in chemistry designed to help the student understand the science within this field. Students who are obtaining a degree in chemistry or biology and are interested in forensic science should pursue a double major with the B.S. in forensic science degree.

This minor allows courses to be shared with a major from the same department.

*CHEM 4110  contains prerequisites: CHEM 3740/3740L  or CHEM 2110 . The prerequisites for CHEM 3740/3740L  are CHEM 1040/1040L  and CHEM 1050/1050L , and the prerequisites for CHEM 2110  are either CHEM 1010/1010L  or CHEM 1040/1040L .
