Social Science Licensure Major


The expected Program Learning Outcomes for this major are:

  • Students will:
    • understand and produce work consistent with integrity standards.
    • locate, evaluate, incorporate, and properly cite multiple information sources.
    • produce and present original research in which they synthesize the findings of existing scholarship, collect and analyze evidence, and develop research conclusions.
    • master the essential content of the curricula (History, Political Science, Geography, Psychology, Sociology, and Economics) they may be expected to teach.
    • organize and implement varied instructional and assessment strategies to diverse (ethnically, culturally, or socio-economically) student bodies.
    • evaluate how to integrate vocational professionalism with their faith through the Titus 2:7-8 model of teaching.
    • connect core content knowledge with its application to informed citizenry.
