Criminal Justice Major


The Program Learning Outcomes for this major are:

  • Demonstration of an understanding of fundamental law enforcement and legal processes, institutions, roles, behaviors, and ethics; and familiarity with major tactics, techniques, issues, and concepts in law enforcement at all levels of government.
  • Demonstration of an understanding of ethics and integrity and produce work consistent with those standards.
  • Demonstration the ability to speak and write in defense of their beliefs as they relate to the Constitution of the United States.
  • Development of an understanding of basic terrorist and criminal enterprise and the tactics, techniques, and procedures of both.
  • Development of an informed familiarity with basic legal frameworks as well as basic military and law enforcement operations.
  • Demonstrate the ability to write grammatically correct, logically cohesive, and factually accurate compositions.
