Honors Contracts

Students may earn honors credit in upper-level courses (3000 or above) in their major through honors contracts. An honors contract is a mechanism for adding an honors dimension to a non-honors course.

The contract allows students to individualize aspects of their curriculum and adds to the academic depth of the course by introducing new material or exploring the subject matter beyond the standard syllabus.

Additionally, students who have completed graduate-level coursework (5000+) to satisfy their undergraduate degree requirements may claim up to 12 hours of such coursework as fulfilling honors contract credit.

Honors students may learn more about Honors contracts and graduate-level equivalent credit on the Honors Canvas course.
